Sherburn M. Becker
Sherburn Merrill Becker (November 13, 1876 – February 5, 1949) was a Wisconsin politician and the 41st Mayor of Milwaukee. He was the last Republican to hold this office.
==Biography==
Becker was mayor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 1906 to 1908. Becker was elected in 1906, defeating the incumbent, David Rose, who had served four terms as Milwaukee's mayor. Becker was known as the "boy mayor", having been elected at age 29. Becker served only one two-year term; David Rose was elected once again to his final term in 1908. He moved to New York City to work in the financial market and died there.〔(Washington Becker, Wisconsin Historical Society )〕〔''Former 'Boy Mayor' Dies At Age 71,'' Ostego Farmer, February 11, 1949〕〔(Bio data )〕
He died on February 5, 1949 and is interred in Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Historical People )
